Pitiful cakestand

    Looks like mid 1950s-1960s to me.

    And I was wondering what sort of cake a "Pitiful Cake" is.........and why you may need a special stand for it.................

    It IS woefully in need of some silver polish....

    The silver has mostly worn off. I personally think it's better to have it look like this than to polish the brass shiny.

    Or a good dip in the baking soda and aluminum foil - take it down the rest of the way.
