Really bad art, or???

Another thing found while clearing boxes.

She looks rather bilious to me, but what do I know.

Oddly enough, I remember I only paid a dollar for her.
I suspect I over paid.

It looks to me like it was cut from whatever frame it was in.

 

Not the worst I've seen, but... those skin colors!

I have seen worse on living people, it's usually spray on tan, and they are usually on TV. Or on dialysis.

It can't be all that bad since it's far better than anything I could do.

I have been messing with the signature, to see I can bring out it more, but dice so far.

 

The highlights in the signature image are keeping me from seeing much of anything. It looks like "Creep Berland" or something.

 

It actually says "Conrad Haberland (?)".
I'm having a hard time with the first part of that last name.

Although, given the way she looks, "Creep" would work.

 

I think I found him.
No idea if his paintings sell though. Especially in this condition.

Yes, that was the first link I saw on Google.

 

I notice the bio on his page (undated) says he has been painting "for over a decade and a half." Since your painting is dated '95, perhaps it's one of his first? I suspect he's fairly young.

I can't draw more than a stick figure.....& faces are hard to do.....so I think this to be an interesting work....by a talented artist !

She's creepy but I like her. I think shes yellowish because shes under a streetlight,or is jaundiced !

 

If you look at his other portraits, they all have a rather odd tint to the skin.
