WHAT IS THIS

    I have No idea what this is.
    It is metal Either bronze or Iron on a marble base
    There is a hidden Draw with 2 big openings on Top
    It is 8 inches Long and 6 inches High
    The draw pulls out
    Any idea about it's use or origin would be appreciated.

    Try a magnetic to see if it is iron. :rolleyes:

    Steve, does it look like there was once something on the opening on the left in the first photo?
    It looks like a chariot in the shape of a winged creature. And I agree, could be a spice mill/grinder.
    How is it hidden? Surely that curly thing is the handle?
