    Hello everyone;

    I am in process of redoing/restoring a floor cabinet. This is a double door unit and one of the doors has a carved out hole. It looks like something was screwed to it. I have two pictures attached to this post. One showing the entire unit and the other one is the actual cabinet door. This the back of the cabinet door. I am just trying to figure out what could possibly be the missing part. It has to be some sort of door catch, but not sure. Any help would be appreciated. 117860304_2811587625794352_57606494232505840_n.jpg 117792705_1531839366987920_8916621259551975212_n.jpg

    My guess would be some sort of latching mechanism.

    Is there a hole through the top of the door as well?

    No sir. Just a hole on the back side of the cabinet door and if you look closer, you can see two small screw hols on each side of the carved out hole. I tried to search and see if I can find parts based on the manufacture which is Berkey & Gay Furniture. However, didn't find anything.. I would love to find out what was there...

    A double roller catch perhaps?

    I thought about that too, but the hole tells me that something else was used. Thank you for your input...
