Hello, Barbara! And Welcome. I know nothing concrete about your (highly!) unusual piece (actually, its no more unusual than I am), but for certain someone who has some ideas will be along soon. Yeah, those cantilevered shelves are not the run of the mill on that style furniture..........my thought is 1940s-50s, but what the heck do I know??????????

Once I did that, I figured I might as well post it here, so others could get a good look at it, too! It certainly is unusual - and it looks to be quite handy, too! I just wish I knew more about it...
