    Hi everyone!

Sorry these are the only photos I have to work with at the moment, does anyone recognize the marks on the bottom?

Have not been able to find a US or Canadian mark with the same S C or S G either by themselves or at the center of a longer mark. That other part below does not make sense to me, but I suspect if we could figure out what that says it might yield a verifiable match.

Nate, some of my edit is filling dark spaces around light spaces....and in view of what @Bakersgma just said above, makes me wonder if those initials might be "SO"???

I know what I did isn't clear, but someone might be able to take a "stab" at it.....or not!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was wondering the same thing also. I think SC or SO is fair game, but I also agree with Bakers, that the writing on the bottom is the key to the puzzle. I'm stuck waiting to hear back from the seller, so figured I should try to solve with the forum while waiting.

    What I THINK I see in the rectangle is "8 R I ? ? Na N 4 ? ?" .....that's my best guess.....which is probably WAAAAY off base, but it's a guess!!!!

I think the first letter is an initial.
    Maybe a "B"
Last name starts with Ri??h or Ri?th space and May
At first I though it might be Richmond, but the shapes don't fit.

I wondered about that possibility too, when I saw the first enlargement, but I do not think there are enough letters to make BRITISH before the M comes along.

The other thing keep in mind is that, since it does not appear to say sterling or 925 or any other other designation or symbol for solid silver, the chances of it being silver plated are better than even. It does look very nice, I will admit.

I hope you asked the seller about that mark, @MrNate
