Does anyone know something about this windsor chair? I have no idea how to determine its value. It does show signs of age: wear to finish, worm holes, old repairs. Your help is greatly appreciated! wins.jpg wins (1).jpg

Definitely an old one with that single board seat. Would think at least mid-19th century. Maybe ash. Not versed in the nuances of old Windsor chairs to be able to tell you more.

It ought to be elm for the seat at least. Other parts ash or beech.

    What country is this in?

Sack back. More commonly called a double Windsor here. And I'm inclined to think it's native to my part of the world and early.

Agree with Owned that it is probably English in origin.
Agree with Brad that it is mid to late 1800s.

Sack back, pretty sure it's English because of armrest, probably 19th century.
Not sure of value in England but here, single chairs are usually a tough sell unless using as a statement piece, most people are looking for sets, 2,4, 6, etc

Early 19th to me. Still has decent value here, simply because it's a Windsor and has history.
