Tie clip ID help, please?

Ah, the famous Peruvian brontosaurus mark, very rare and only to be seen on gold of a very great age.
The name could be Alcedon, and the venerable brontosaurus an N.

No real symbolism, just two very popular motifs taken from the pre-Columbian Chimu (Moche) culture. They are a cat and a bird, likely a pelican, the Chimu were a coastal culture.

 

Since I can't find any reference to the maker to add to its allure, should I just add a premium to the gold weight to pay for my time to sell it? It's a heavy little thing, .279 oz

 

Have you googled gold tie clips, and compared the weight? I'd look at Peruvian gold jewellery as well, see what the prices are compared to other gold jewellery.

Without getting tangled up in the maker's name, you have a Beautiful tie bar/tie clasp.
Have you had a chance to test the metal?
If not, please do so and put that issue to rest.
I know it's frustrating when a maker's mark is not easily identifiable. If it's any consolation, I believe you have a Beautiful treasure.

In my experience Peruvian gold and silver marks are correct.
