    I think you are right and it is recent. I'm basing that mainly on the design and (I'm afraid) the sloppy execution.

    Unmistakably Shiwan pomegranate red glaze 石榴红. By 博云陶坊 Bo Yun Taofang. They've been around for over 30 years and make nice stuff worth collecting, even if it is contemporary.

    Thanks Khl889. After inspecting closer the glazes I also concluded Shiwanware. I checked the other maker's pieces online , indeed some are really nice.

    I like a lot of Asian stuff, sometimes recent does not matter, if they keep their own traditional trends going. They did sloppy ceramics exports too between 1900-1940. So, not that different.
