Brooch Identification

Hello, I found these pieces at a flea market. The woman's bust appears to be clay, with a shell for a hat. The flower one in translucent when held up to the light and very light weight. The flower brooch has a C clasp, and the pin extends slightly past the brooch. Any idea how old these are or if the flower brooch might be celluloid?

 

A C-clasp with a pin extending past the brooch is a sign of age, I'd say late 19th century.
Costume jewellery is not my field, but yes, the flower brooch could be celluloid. Others will know more about this.

 

The clay pin of the woman is fairly new, I think. Not sure how old, though.

 

I seem to remember them from the 80s, but with my memory I'm not too sure.

 

I'd call 80s craft show on the lady head pin, and about 1890 on the celluloid. The length of the pin makes me want to think older, but if it's celluloid and a hibiscus it wants to be later. So...dunno.

 

I have a couple of those clay face pins that my daughter had back in the 80s so you are spot on. I'm thinking the flower is more 1910ish based on one that I had.
