Hello! Wondering if anyone can provide information on this mahogany gate leg table? It has been in the family for a very long time. It is 29" height and 54" in diameter - round. On the bottom of the drawer, there is a very faded label. It is too faded to photograph so I tried to draw it. Does anyone recognize this label? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I had the same table and it has also been in my family a long time. I never really thought about an ID since it passed to my daughter and will probably go to my grandson.

Looks as if it might be 1920s. Very useful piece of furniture for small spaces, but also very easy to find due to huge numbers made.
Good value at current brown furniture prices.

I used ours as our dining room table in our tiny apartment when I was first married. They really are very handy. My daughter keeps it folded up against the wall and when her husband's family visits, it becomes the kids table.

Thank you. 1920's does make sense. The only thing I did just notice is it has dovetail joints on the drawer. Would that make it older?

This was a gift to my grandmother (from her sister), and then my father inherited and gave it to me. I did use it in my dining room for a bit and then worried about damaging it....so it is just displayed in my sitting room.

    I have one
it was cut down to cocktail table height in the 1960s...................
restored to dining table height in the 1980s......................
broken down to cocktail table height (by movers) in the 1990s..................
currently residing near my desk as a console while the "base" serves as the stand for a trunk in a bedroom

20s-40s. The dovetail drawer joints were typical for the period. Doesn't look like mahogany to me. More likely walnut or, possibly, birch with a dark stain. Have seen that logo before .... off the top of my head..... maybe Michigan Chair Co.?

Yeah, very popular table and hasn't changed for centuries. I have a first quarter 18th century table with mahogany top & maple base that works as well today as it did the day it was made. I can see why they remain popular, very easy to tuck away against a wall when not in use.
Your table is william & mary in style and although not period, does have the look.
