I'm located in a Victorian seaport in Washington state USA. I sell 40% British antiques, 40% new British product and the balance is "inspired by". I sell a lot of chairs lol. I'm actually desperately short on them now. I'm a luxury British home goods and gift store (lighting to furniture to throw pillows and a bar of soap).

It's a funny market...the "brown stuff" isn't popular right now in the UK but my clients love it. If I could find a container full of brown with leather I'd be in! The margins are great. That said if I only sold chairs it might not be so good lol

I also sell anchient bible boxes (my icon) and other higher end stuff sourced in the UK.

The brand is Bubble N Squeak home.

Thanks. Sounds like a nice upscale market. I could only dream of such clientele here in the cornfields :sour: On the flip-side, this is a great place to buy.

I do have a good upscale market...but if I moved to the big city I could double most of my prices....that said...I'd have to commute....get rich or commute????....I will stay here and just do it slowly lmao.

I actually am funded to open the second on the other side of our little pond in a year or two as we prove the concept. Then I really can buy 40' containers of chairs lol.

Hm. Any specifics you're after from this side of the pond? I'm quite good at sourcing. ;)

Hey, hey, hey it's KING ELLIOT in the HOUSE!

Thought I'd give you guys a lil' update on the chairs, had them on eBay for a while, sat at £200 with no interest...

... so, I started to get sick of the sight of them, so what I did was, I loaded them in my van...

... and threw them in the river Mersey!!

Nah, I'm just kidding, took them to a vintage/antique shop and after some bartering they paid £75. Wonder what they'll try and sell them at?

Anyway, thanks a lot for all the help, a great little forum this, if I ever get anymore old pieces of tat then you'll see King Elliot rolling up on this place again
