Hi there, I have another piece of Vaseline. On google I found this vaselinetray.jpg one at an online mall, which they said it was 100 yrs old, but gave no i.d. for that. it is about 11" wide, 13" wide diagonally, very heavy. There is a similar one on ebay, but it's not quite a match. I'm thinking that the Vaseline books said the heavier daisy and button is usually newer, and this is very heavy. Any help is appreciated. I still have another piece or two of Vaseline that's not on my books (I was surprised to see that LW books went out of business), and then I'll stop bugging you so much

In case you are wondering why the photo is there. :)
It's likely that you made an edit in the text and didn't click at the end of the text before adding or enlarging the photo.
HOWEVER... I have seen that phone's may put the photos first for some reason. :p

Now I just stumbled on a note that said this is co-op flint late 1800's "currier and ives" pattern. If anybody disagrees with this, please tell me.

Co-operative flint called the pattern #130 the collector AKA is Currier and Ives. Introduced 1887. From what I can see of your pattern it doesn't quite right but could be. If it is it would be the water set tray.
L-W has been gone for a good 10 years. Other than the general used book markets I like this source WVMAG.org

It's a daisy and button pattern.

Not everybody's D&B was the same. A sharp clear close up of the pattern may help somebody ID it.

The No. 130, AKA Currier & Ives, water tray, illustrated on page 79 of "CoOperative Flint Glass" by the Autenrieths, is round, has a balking mule illustration in the middle. Not this at all. NO. 130 is NOT a Daisy & Button pattern, nor is this tray, it appears to be a 'fine cut' type of pattern. Daisy & Button is made up of octagonal 'buttons' (Originally called hobnails) and eight petaled flowers among other details.

Your right, after I typed this I realized it does not have the buttons. This just has like 'X''s all over it. I copied that picture from a website as mine is all wrapped up in the bottom of a box, that's why the pic is so small. I'll get a close up later. thanks for your help.

  10. Is it possible that this is a tray for a dresser set that has matching scent bottles, powder jar etc?
