Aurora Borealis & Crystal Bib Necklace

I was wondering if this was made by Juliana D&E. Not sure if the clear stones are glass or crystal. Does anyone know who it might be made by ?

Juliana was a line made by D&E for just a few years, D&E made jewelry for many years and made pieces for companies like Weiss, they were "jobbers". So, all Juliana is D&E, not all D&E is Juliana.

Juliana is one of the most misused key words in online auctions. Anything bright and blingy is called Juliana, I estimate 90% are not.

If you think this is D&E there are sites on the web to help you ID your piece, but be prepared to hear NO.

If they were worth anything Confederate bills would still be inadequate.

 

I don't know why but Schiaparelli comes to mind. She used the clasps with the Rhinestone on the hook.. but could be wrong. Haven't seen any D&E pieces like that.. but again, I could be wrong. I see no pooling or figure 8s associated with D&E (Juliana pieces)

 

Lots of people used that hook, unfortunately. I'd be thinking late 80s, oddly enough; those bezel set stones with the prongs on the back are a 70s/80s thing, and those drippy rhinestone strands can be that late too if not even later. It doesn't look like anything Delizz and Elster had a hand in - too late. It would make a hecuva necklace to wear with one of those recent low-cut wedding gowns.
