Can anyone tell me anything about it? The back is like the the side, individual slats. It is on casters. I’m thinking early 1900’s? It’s in very good condition. I don’t think it’s been refurbished. No keys. Thanks! NOTE: See attachment as it is a much better, more detailed image. Thanks!

Thank you for enlarging. I have a better pic as I see these lost a lot of detail so I added it as an attachment. Also, the back slats appear to be fitted/connected together and obviously not finished like the rest of the piece. If that helps!

Also, called "quarter sawn" oak. Looks to be in very nice condition!

Very nice. I'd say about 1900-1915. Very unusual backsplash/gallery where you'd expect to find a mirror. This type of gallery is far more often seen on stand-alone kitchen cabinets or armoires. Correct time period, though. It looks to have been refinished, which for this piece does not affect the value.

Wow, neat! I really appreciate the info!! I usually paint and recreate old furniture but it would be a sin to cover the patterns in this wood. I just LOVE it :)

There's something very Wonderful Wizard of Ozish about that, isn't there?

Some older furniture can be improved with a coat of paint. Glad you love it the way it is - this one deserves to let its beauty show! And I'm not usually a big fan of oak. ;)
