Yeah, I remember that old piece of etiquette. Not so important these days -- bride and groom are equally lucky or unlucky depending on your pov...

You know, I was beginning to think I was the only one whose mother insisted that one should never "congratulate" the bride!

Stuff like that really sticks with you - to this day, I have never once done it...

One more question. I am going to list the quilt on ebay and I would like to quote 6rivets information and wish to give credit to her. Is that appropriate? Do I give her name or the name of this board?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

EBay may not want credit given to a board that is not on their system.

That's true. So just mention 6rivets then? Or just say "expert opinion"?

6rivets is well-known to many who shop on eBay. Also, I believe she still posts there. Unless she has an objection, I believe in giving credit where credit is due!

    :)

Yes, I want to giver her credit for the information; that's why I asked. I will use her name then.

If I were you, I would ask her directly first. It should be up to her.

Is there a message system on this board? I looked around but didn't find how to send a message to a member.

Click on "Inbox" next to your user name at the top right of the page. You can start a "Conversation" addressed to her. It's like an email and private.
