I have this Vaseline piece I'm trying to id, it is not in any of the 4 Vaseline books I have. it is about 5", and reminds me of elegant glassware, not the cheaper kind. Note, that several times around the design, is an upside down V, I've shown a picture of that if you can see it. thanks, IMG_20170703_105840 (2).jpg IMG_20170703_105830 (2).jpg

    Hi Connie,
I am not sure that is vaseline glass, it looks like a bright yellow. Remember vaseline glass has a slight green tinge to it.

Is the smooth area colorless or just look that way to me? If so the yellow could be a stain. Looks like a version of Dausy and button.

It glows green under the blacklight, and most all of the Vaseline I've collected was yellow--way back in the day the experts claimed the glass had to be yellow in normal light and green under the blacklight, or it was not true Vaseline glass. None of the fenton Vaseline I have or have had was green, so this must be a new thing that Vaseline is green in normal lighting (I've been out of the loop for about 7 yrs). Thanks.

    Hi,
Lots of glass glows under black light. All of the vaseline I have or have seen is a yellowish green almost like chartreuse. If plain yellow even though it glows it is not vaseline. I have seen blue vaseline and white vaseline as well as green vaseline offered for sale. it does not make it vaseline. Fenton usually calls its vaseline Topaz which drives me crazy since to me Topaz is brown yellow.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Did any of the elegant glass companies, Cambridge, Fostoria, heisey, tiffin, etc. make any yellow glass that glows green? This piece, and another similar piece I have with wheel cutting, reminds me of the elegant glass companies. And yes, the top part is not clear but yellow too. Thanks, you guys are the best, Connie

I think this is Beatty #555 or 556 aka Daisy and Button with V ornament finger bowl.. They made one with this edge/rim shape in canary circa 1887.

thanks, I'll have to get pics on for the other bowl, not the same pattern. I hate to list something without knowing what it is, so thanks for all your help. Connie
