Went to an estate sale this morning. Was really picked over. Got the following for $5 total. Really like the Allis-Chalmers employee tag and the Boy Scouts pinback.

No photo handy, but a neighbor who knows I do online sales just emailed and said that someone was "giving a bunch of bubblewrap away". Apparently in a neighbor's driveway with a FREE sign, about 12 houses down.

9 out of 10 times "free bubblewrap" means the large style bubblewrap that oversized electronics come in, often a bit dirty and with tape, and so didn't have great expectations, but bicycled down.

To my surprise in the driveway: Three unopened Staples brand new small style bubblewrap (the size I use!) rolls. Had to monetize the score, so looked up the retail price. $29 each. I guess left over/unused from the homeowner's recent move.

Yes, I got all of them home on my bicycle.

    I spent $150 total

The 14K cufflink set was 16 grams. 27 walking liberty halves. Accutron 219 watch. Some one ounces silver eagles. A number of $5-10 trinkets.

Nice haul. Seriously nice haul. I didn't leave the house today. Tomorrow I go out to ... get my teeth cleaned. Joyful.

WOOT! Now that's a good day! $90 of useful materials for free. More with the sales tax.

Holy Cow! Have never found coins/precious metals at an estate sale here in Ohio that were not hideously overpriced.
