Wonder if it is part of Paloma Picasso's clothing line?
What does it say under Picasso?

WOW very nice ,if you are interested in finding out , ( he painted on a lot of things ) , i suspect you will have the same journey as I lol , the signature looks good ,from what I see , and it is a subject (image) he could/would have painted , you will have to get a hold of an authenticater , I'm going through Mr. Peter Paul Biro Laboratories in Montreal Que. send him a pic of it .

does the vest itself have any tags or identifying marks , like the stitching (hand/machine) and has the paint shrunk or seperated away from any stitching , is it for a man , woman, or child (what size is it ), could it have been his or one of his kids or wives (Provenance will increase value ),is it french ,american , Spanish vest (he wore them like a bull fighter) , what is it made of , silk , leather ? was it from a suit ? , he died in 1973 so if it was made after that you may have a problem lol (as Biro said to me ) .

the paint will ,or should be organic , and lead as a drying agent , there is an autograph expert/authenticater in Quebec also , Mr D. A. Gauthier

like me , you are going to need to know one way or another heehee , is it real or a master fake , a Picasso or a "pic ur ass o" lol , if it is real i suspect it will be worth a lot of money , but even as a fake/repro ( i don't think it is) , it is very nice ,and would fetch a healthy price as the expert Gail Pirie from the antiques road show canada pointed out to me .
IMO it's an exquisite example and worth checking out .

I was pleased to talk to you over the phone about the possibility of authenticating the signature on your chair.
As explained, my fees are $120.00/h and I could offer to give a preliminary opinion with a minimum of one hour.
If you decide to go ahead, I would need a picture of that signature with the authentic signatures of Picasso you have been able to collect (the more the better).
Looking forward to be able to help you,
    Best regards,
    D. A. Gauthier

you could take it to places like Pawn stars or art encounters , or any of the expert ,and they will tell you no ,and give you a feeble excuse as to why he didn't do it ,and if they( the experts) suspect it might be , that it is one of a kind ,and can't/or won't put an price on it until it is authenticated , and IMO, once it is authenticated , what then LOL , will they (the collectors) value the opinions of the authenticater you use . IDK . I do know, it's going to take time , money , and testing , to prove he did ,or didn't do it .

or you can do what I should have done in the first place lol
send picture of it to the Picasso family in Paris , they and only they , can say for sure , no questions asked if they say yes , authentications are free , you must follow the rules with them , http://www.picasso-authentification.fr/?lang=en
hope that helps, and good luck to you ,and me lol . and i recommend wearing gloves when touching it, and put it in a dry cleaning bag at the least, keeping it away from open air .

looks like 1911 to me and yes it is exactly the type of thing he would have drawn from 1900 to 1915 and beyond DSC00311.JPG DSC00308.JPG DSC00310.JPG

it's all fun , until it is signed , then it's a crime to put picasso's name on any likeness of his , without permission (and they don't give permission ) , people have gone to jail for it , as recently as the last ten years . or are found out to be frauds, by the authenticaters . and then sent to jail lol .I'm told some are so good that they are still hanging in the museums ,and not just Picasso's

    lloyd249 it's not hoarding if it's valuable

    yes from this articular

"Picasso revised the painting a great deal before settling on the final arrangement: he first depicted Harlequin without ruffs at the neck or cuffs; a large glass stood on the table where the match striker now appears; Harlequin's bicorne hat originally rested behind his right hand; and the floral wallpaper was more extensive and not hidden by the high banquette."
so IMO there's going to be more than 1
