You can also soak those in water with some Oxi Clean instead of bleach. Oxi is not harsh like bleach. I was given a tip to let it soak outside on a sunny day. The sun has a natural bleaching process. As someone already stated, dry flat so the wet weight of the fabric doesn't distort.

Thanks so much Debora, and please forgive my late reply. That's a great thought. I hope to get these cleaned up and take new photos in the next couple weeks, I will re-post once I get done. Thanks again.
Oh and is there a name for that type of bustle jacket/dress?
    Thanks again:)

Thanks so much mill cove, great tips too! I've tried several different methods over the years and always love hearing other opinions, I will post follow up pics when I get them cleaned up.:)

Anyone have any ideas on how to clean the first black dress? It's some sort of silk or rayon type of material, I really don't know what it is specifically. I'm afraid to mess with it really, but I think it could be sort of nice when cleaned up.

I know people don't like links, but you can type website name into your browser for it. Fab info on the history of pantalletes, bloomers, when they were open, when they changed, why. They clean up amazingly well typically. Unless silk then I don't touch as afraid of shattering. Been there done that. Any bad "body rust" I have always used whink without any issue. I've never tried the denture tabs, thanks for sharing that. The woman (dealer) I use to sell very high end pieces has lots of undergarments for eye candy and prices on near perfect pieces at antique dress dot com. Her site is fun to drool at. Here's the other article which is fun to read.
