    Hello guys,

today I do not have any problem with a pattern, but with a name of the second plate. I checked the site replacements.com and I found out, that the purpose of the bigger plate is 'butter plate'.

Could you tell me what is the smaller one for?

    Thanks in advance.

    Details: Graf von Henneberg 1777; 1426/0 C 2462/E

It's true the OP was going by what the replacements site called the bigger one, but they aren't infallible.

I wonder whether they really meant "bread and butter plate."

Certainly big for a butter plate.
Given the size, I would guess a bread roll on the bigger plate, butter pat on the smaller one.
