Antique Jewelry box?

    So, the reason I recognized the pyrography was that for almost 20 years I did exactly this...I woodburned and stained hardshell gourds though, not boxes, although I did a few of those too :writer: I woodburned the designs on them and had a few employees that did paint by numbers with stains and dyes :smug:. I sold to stores and galleries in almost every US state. I was much younger and energetic then! I had a line of Americana themed characters and later expanded into lines I designed but didn't have to make myself. True confessions...

    So weird...I googled to see if there were still photos on my old website...only one teeny one, but I found one on Etsy from 1992. It's reaallly faded and beat up. Listing says "normal wear"....uhhhh...no...also, it's really early work...I got much better! I also made Santa, mrs Claus, elves, buffalo bill, Harriet Tubman, a witch, a wizard, Jack o lanterns, bird houses, bread warmers... https://www.etsy.com/listing/515906516/tall-gourd-art-melissa-brown-patriotic
