Who made this Black Glass Pedestal Dish with Koi Fish on it?

Is this a Fenton piece? Pretty sure they are fish at each leg, but they look like Donald Duck to me! there are what look to be seam lines, so I think it's molded glass.

 

I think they are dolphins, not koi.

 

not sure who may have made it but those are dolphin fish and very common by many glass makers

Black glass always makes me think L E Smith.

There are fish called dolphinfish (which might be what TallCakes was referring to). They include the mahi-mahi and also the pompano dolphinfish. They look a little more like the fish on this dish... not exactly, though.

I've seen these types of decorations on lots of other pedestals and handles. I don't know for certain which they are supposed to be emulating.

not dolphins (as in bottlenose) but dolphinfish as in mahi-mahi
