Hi new here and looking for any help regarding this item.

I am trying to determine the identification of this item, as you can see from the photos there is no visible markings (I think).

I am trying to find or determine the costs of a saucer to match this item. I have tried China Search, who I have used in the past, but they feel it is pre 1960's, at least.

I can t upload any more photos, but there are no markings on the bottom of the cup.

I'd say certainly English. Problem is, that pink was used by a fair few good factories. It might possibly be Coalport, I think they did those circle handles.

Well, I totally agree, mid-19th c. cup with ring handle. Nice bit of painting, but it might be quite a search to find a matching saucer even if the maker is identified. That celeste bleu enamel is seen frequently on Minton as well as Coalport, but I can't say for sure what factory made this.

Just as a practical matter, it appears that this cup has a crack so even if you find a matching saucer the value may be diminished.

Now if it's a sentimental piece that's a different matter. I've looked off and on for a saucer to match a little cup I used for tea parties when I was a child. I don't think I'll find even a close match. I think my ex had a roommate that used my saucers as ashtrays and I think it was tossed or lost a long time ago:(

Hi Thanks for your post. Its possibly a little bit of positive PR, we have done a job for a forgetful pensioner, who is adamant that we took away a saucer with the cup, we have no record of it and photos taken don't show a saucer before we emptied the property.

If it s not going to happen, I may need to take a different approach.
