I have soo many finds that I have come across in the last month! But have only found time to photograph this childs set of EAPG glass creamer, covered sugar, spooner and covered butter in the Nursery Tales aka Nursery Rhyme pattern circa 1905 US Glass Co. Set has a few minor chip flakes, all for $2.00

 

Funny thing, I received a notice to show up at Fort Bragg from the Draft Board.... not unusual, except I'm a girl I wish I had kept that letter!

Not as good as yours, Tauriels, but my daughter, who has a decidedly "male" first name, got a nice Gillette (men's) razor (direct from Gillette) for her 18th birthday!

 

Back in the '60s when bell-bottoms first became popular, the only place you could get them was army navy surplus.

 

@SBSVC - no doubt she promptly shaved her legs with it. I went hunting this morning and found a few things ... but mostly found the need for another shower and a lot of water. The humidity was brutal.

 

I'm thinking of purchasing these, but they are quite a drive away (3 hrs away). think it's worth it ?

I found these four (old) interesting books at two sales (an estate sale and a yard sale) and I am happy as a little lark.

That tea set is very colorful, but I don't think it has a lot of value. I wouldn't go 3 hours out of my way for it.

Someone posted a pic of a hubba hubba handsome cowboy. Now where is he for sale? Ebay or Etsy perhaps??? LOL

Don't have pics, but I picked up a few glasses with Scottie dogs on them today.
Missed out on buying some confetti melmac bowls that I really wanted, someone else grabbed them first.

Nice, Cxgirl. I have to google EAPG glass. If they wrote a book called Glassware for Dummies, I'd be first in line to buy it.

I couldn't sleep today, so I was out of the door by 6:30 a.m. The weather was threatening storms, but there was an advertised yard sale a few mile from me I wanted to attend.... they weren't set up, so I drove to a church sale. I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for everybody to show up, and unbeknownst to me, they were having the sale outside and cancelled due to weather. I went to a yard sale four blocks away, and somebody had just beat me to grandmom's jewelry boxes. A few things remained, not much.

So now it is 8 a.m. and I head back to the yard sale I wanted to go to. Unbelievable. Most of the stuff was 10 cents to 50 cents. I found a table with jewelry and it was all 10 cents. So I grabbed a bowl and went to it. Three families with multiple members were still unloading...... the furniture was $5 to $10. Brad would've been in heaven. I saw a bench there for $5 that goes for $150 in our antique shops.... but furniture is not my forte.

So between the two yard sales, here are some of my favorite finds.

First, taille d'epergne (I know I am spelling it wrong.) Note how the set is mismatched, but I believe it was made that way because all the parts match in size.

This necklace was missed at the first yard sale because it was hidden in a box with a small bottom drawer. The jewelry there was 10 cents to a quarter.


The rest is from the second yard sale. This is broken, but where it is broken is knotted and I plan to join the ends by stitching it with vintage thread.

And this was some of the gold, sterling, and better costume.... the yellow gold is 14k. The strawberries are Weiss, missing two rhinestones at the bottom. I don't know if the pansies are sterling, it is a brooch/pendant piece. The Celtic harp is stainless? The dummy also grabbed some glassware this week, photos later.

 

Same here.... it was literally dripping wet weather after it stormed around 7 a.m.
