Glass pin box with silver lid silversmith mark JHM - identification help

Acquired a very nice cut glass pin box with silver lid.

If I’m reading the mark right it’s a 1905 Birmingham lid by JHM which from my research may be John Hartshorne Middleton of Hukin & Heath, but I can find no other pieces like with just JMT. If anyone is familiar with this silversmith and can point to other examples of his work, preferably one like this or if there’s another silversmith with these initials that you are aware of and can pass on to me, that would be appreciated, thanks.

 

I suspect that you can't find it because the J (not inside a cartouche) doesn't belong with the H and the M.

H M in separate cartouches was issued to Henry Matthews of Birmingham in 1894 and continued beyond the date on your lid. Plus he made this kind of thing (see the "Found On" list next to his name and dates.)

Of course, that could be me grasping at straws, but it's a best idea I've got. The site linked above is pretty darned good and they have no J H M for Birmingham at all.

 

Thank you for the feedback Bakersgma. I'd say you are spot on and your observation proves it's always good to have a 2nd pair of eyes on something. I did browse this site and add it to my favorites as I have 2 more boxes like this, another with silver lid as well, but less marks. Now that I've got a great jumping off point I can research further. Thank you again.
