I found a box of 30-40 pins and medals this morning. It would appear they belonged to someone in my husbands family, sadly we don't know who, that flew in WWII. I've identified the rest of them, but am a little stumped on these.

I found a pdf about power squadrons (#1), http://www.nvsps.org/history/History_USPS.pdf , but nothing turned up about the pins and can't find any images of it to help me date it.

#6 has me kinda fascinated. The back says it's property of Wright Martin and is numbered...I found one other pin like it but it was on Worthpoint which I don't subscribe to.

Any insight given will be greatly appreciated!!

The shield of No.4 carries the Norwegian flag, if that helps.

Thanks @Debora, it does. I still don't why it's in the collection, but at least I know that much!

In WWII, we developed a military base in Iceland. By the mid-2000s, all the NATO pilots were training there. It's possible that some of the foreign ones were collected by someone who was stationed there. There seem to be a few that have something to do with flight.

That makes sense. Husbands family was on the east coast and it appears this person was a pilot. Thanks!

I will @KingofThings! Are you interested in the bigger group I didn't photograph or these six? I think there's a private message option in this group?
