Have you seen this turtle cookie jar? Help with identification please.

    Thanks for any help. I was thinking a California maker, maybe Doranne? It's about 16" in length and about 9" high. Lots of crazing. No marks.

    Nice photos!
    Need the bottom and any potential marks close up even if you think they aren't anything. :)

    Hi sinkingship3 - welcome!

    In My Cookie Jars Book II (whippee whooppee whoo - the first time I whipped out one of the many books to help - no injernet!) your tioturtle matches closely to the the Doranne of California mentioned. (Page 62).

    The body and style are very similiar, but it should have some type of mark ala C J 14 or something like that on the base. All the Doranne stuff say J 7, J 9 or C 4. Makes me want to play bingo.

    I've looked up all the other turtles and yours def mirrors the one in the book in a number of ways. Just my thoughts.
