Hello. My girlfriend and I came across these dance card pen and pencil sets and picked them up. I know from some research that these can date back a few years. Curious if anyone knows anything about these at all? The one piece breaks down into a hidden snuff container and hidden pencil which we think is definitely unique to say the least. I'm super-confused. Where's the snuff-container?

Pics 4, 5 and 6. All the pieces remove. Looks to me to be a snuff spoon and I'm guessing the container it slips in would hold the snuff. Keep in mind I'm guessing lol. Read an article about a very similar item and that's the way it was described. Hoping someone knows more. Approx year, material etc...

Nothing to be sorry about :) purely a guess on the snuff thing. 4th entry down and entire page of your link has no exact markings like the one I have, but now I have some more key words to help continue my search. Thank you!

I never said it was identical. Merely that it's the same type of dip-pen-pencil combo. These were very common in the later 1800s.
