Native American Photographs 1903 Marketing Promotion

Okay, need some help in asessing my purchase today. These five prints were part of a 1903 marketing promotion by the Cudahy Packing Co of Omaha, Nebraska. The lot included the original advertisement shown here. What is your take on the rarity of these?

Seems like something the company did for many years. Not sure if this particular set would hold any more value than the others.

 

I saw the calendars but unfortunately , I could not pull up your second link. What did that go for, kronos?

 

Fixed the second link. It's still up at $12.95. I noticed the place you won them from says they are "glass plates". I don't think they originally came like that, and I wonder if they are not just glued or taped in litho/paper prints behind a glass sheet. Did you actually look at them or just bid online? The advertisements do not show them framed like that.

 

Yes, I was puzzled by that term. I just bid online but thought they compared more to this, which is listed on ebay as item described as "Native American 1899 Hand Colored Ogallala Sioux War Chief Little Wound".


I felt better about the 1932 Golden Comet arcade machine that I also picked up at this auction.

 

Probably going to need to wait until you get them in hand to really tell if they were worth it or not then. I do like the pinball machine. Having the original stand is a big plus.

 

Yeah, every once in awhile I just take a flyer on something like these native american photos. The auction house kind of set me up with their description. When I googled it, I found a good match on ebay but again ebay deleted the archived sale.

6 1/2 hour road trip to omaha to pick up the pinball machine next week!
