IMG_5274.JPG IMG_5275.JPG IMG_5276.JPG IMG_5277.JPG The mirrors have pinkish tint. Any idea who and when made this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The pinkish tint was started right after the blue glass mirror fad. The old Queen Mum of England hated the blue glass mirror furniture, She said it made everyone's complexion horrible. She had all the blue glass replaced with pink tinted glass. I have several pink glass items, my favorite is a hexagon mirror with a clock set in it.

Would think as early as the late 30s or as late as the 50s. You see that curdled finish on lamps from the era. Ironically, I just picked one up a couple days ago.

I'm inclined to 30s, rather than 50s, on the basis of the shape of the base. We call it peach glass over here. Nice mirror.

Ownedbybear, do you think the "peach glass" wording has anything to do with the old "peaches and cream complexion" wording? ;)

Hah. Never thought of that, I shall have to go google.

We would call it a peach mirror as well. Kind of surprised to see it in a mirror actually meant for serious looking. Generally see the colored mirrors as accent mirrors, or used in table tops, and in objects.
