Trust me, I know all about it first hand. Hot AND cold sensitivity, although heat is far worse. If it were going to be in the 90s I wouldn't have stayed out nearly as long as I did...and would have saved myself some effort, time, and gasoline. The only good bits were at the first sale anyway.

I found this at giant mall in which one of the dealers must've been quitting or going to eBidet. Everything was 70% off.
There was a big bowl with anything in it for 50cents.
I was shocked this was!
Surely mass produced for the wheels are cast and the rest is Masonite.
Anyone ever had one?

I'll sell the kitchen bowl, purse, and the cigarette case. I'll keep the sterling candlesticks, citizen display to store my watches, postcards, photographs, Case cheetah, 1976 first day cover and old Iraqi money. I'm on the fence about the Heddon lure and miner light. Last Friday, I went to Scott's antiques show in Atlanta and bought a broken Lord Elgin watch and a large sweet tea for a total of $8.

Well -- it is good to be BACK! I have been gone for a couple of months again. I mentioned moving (possibly to Savannah) in my last post. Scratch that. We moved alright... near Austin, Texas! Bought our first home and love everything so far. Went to my first sale yesterday and bought 9 Swanky Swigs

Our beautiful doggie in the picture is in her last chapter of life. Diagnosed with a rare cancer that is not treatable, she is on medication to let her live and love until the end. Our goal and hope has always been that she may be with us until we move together to our final home/area, as we all started together as one fifteen years ago.... and that has happened. Well, enough of that it or my keyboard will be a flood of tears! Happy times for now.

Lots of fun thrifts all around to checkout, auctions to go to and cool antique sales in Texas. Now I just need to find some pickin' buddies. Never really had any other than mom since she passed years ago. New chapter, new area, new beginnings.

I'm excited to look through all the past pages of finds and get caught-up. Before leaving Georgia, I bought two boxes of stuff at my favorite thrift there that I haven't looked up - lots of Swedish/Norway, etc. vintage stuff (David Anderson Silver, pottery and porcelain from that region and a collection of antique shaving mugs). I decided it would be a treat to see what I found once I got here. Now I just have to find those boxes. I'll share with the group once I do!

I got these today. Really nicely made, on copper. I can't decide who or where, but they look Scandinavian. I think.

 

Not usually a fan, but those ARE very nice!

 

I went out yesterday and found a good way to waste gasoline. Not much worth showing, but I did get a friend's birthday present and a 30s porcelain wedding cake topper.

 

I bet that cake is harder than the top that's still in the freezer...

 

. I wasted some gasoline, too, very hot here, in the 90s. I found some out of the way yard sales and some sterling, but not a lot. I let the buy of the month slip away....I saw a graduated shell bead necklace I could have gotten for $5 at a flea market today.... another joolie was right there with me, and she grabbed.... I saw it, and didn't move on it, didn't recognize the shell, knew it wasn't coral, so I passed.
