You know it worked because no one was afflicted by the evil eye.

Pretty much like my anti tiger hat.

I copied your Russian photo before you had the ID so I could blow it up and look at it from different angles and, I found some tiny writing around the edge of the base. Starting below the red mark you will find some tiny letters and numbers scratched into the clay. It looks like there is something else around the bend just under the green mark on the side.

This large vintage tin filled with "costume jewelry" was purchased for $40. :D

I separated all the precious metals and placed them in clear bags just below. At left is gold from 18KT - 10KT, plus a set (bracelet, earrings & brooch) of carved ivory and gold pieces. At right is a number of sterling pieces. The tin still has many signed (Trifari, Coro, etc.) actual costume pieces of jewels and a large jade necklace.

Below are a few images from this lot that I like the most...

Art Nouveau sterling and emerald(?) fairy brooch/pin. Signed/marked, but unable to decipher.

Gold and ruby(?) earrings marked 750, also with an illegible maker's mark.

19th C. Japanese mixed (bronze, gold and silver) metals sword pieces that were made into a bracelet that fell apart.

These vintage 1980s(?) Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses were $1 from the same seller. :D

Last year those old Ray Bans were selling at high prices to Malaysia. They would certainly find the highest prices overseas in newly affluent countries with a fetish for such consumer goods so do list them worldwide. What have you got to lose?

    Hi Shiloh,
I can truely say your chess set was made in Egypt. I bought almost an indentical set there in the 70s. I am still amazed at the details in those pieces. I was tempted to buy an armiore covered with the design, but shipping would have been a nightmare.

Thanks AF, Sharona and Shi. Nice chess set!

    Sharona,

I like the frames as well, especially this one here...

    SAM_2095_zps1d948c02-001.jpg

It appears to be an American Arts and Crafts period piece. A bit hard to tell from the images, but check the backing along the frame for a label, small plaque or incised signature/marks. Period frames from that era can fetch some really good $$$.

My vintage bling costume jewelry stash is getting pretty large. How does one sell such a large lot with some many different pieces and designer names? I have approx 200 brooches alone, not counting the bracelets, necklaces, etc. or the sterling silver, gold and watches.

nuff said - those are japanese sword fittings. if you're selling let me know! I buy/sell collect that stuff. The top three are called Kashira and go at the pommel of the sword handle. I'd have to see other angles of the bottom piece, but the two in middle are Menuki, and go under the wrap on the handle. Mostly decorative, but they provide grip, too.

I wouldnt' put any silver in the costume lots though
If their really nice pieces, many sell on they're own. Or if you have several nice pieces just put a few pieces together...I have just lost patience for single pieces but still do it...

    Thanks!

I'm sure some of the costume rhinestone pieces can stand on there own as well, but I don't have the time to deal with listing them as singles. I want to sell all as one HUGE lot, but afraid 12 eBay images will do no justice for what's all there.

OMG Adrian1 Good to "see" you.
'Nuff. How about separating them into about 4 or 5 manageable lots? It would be way more manageable than piecing them out, and you wouldn't have to worry about 12 photos not being enough.
Best of both worlds! I love the little emerald fairy pin. Adorbs!
