Has anyone ever seen this lamp before?

These lamps were my great grandfathers. I have no idea where he got them (or why) but now I have them because I am sentimental and can’t throw anything away . I can’t find any markings/name or anything. Evidently at some point someone replaced the cord on one. But the other looks to be the original cord with 50’s turquoise paint and all. Any help with figuring out where they are from or who makes them or if they are worth more than just my sentimental craziness would be greatly appreciated. I need to downsize a bit! 00F75C6F-1FC7-4B11-8443-2719D8DEC01C.jpeg F5FF2AB3-A089-4805-9168-0BA12C0C260D.jpeg 79CC227B-F267-4A01-B746-A697A2353F66.jpeg A2648100-C228-4459-9EB2-0999B5054AF1.jpeg DC4B8031-F781-451E-849E-7A3A01512EF0.jpeg B899595D-B7A7-40DF-96CC-382E65D3D45F.jpeg

    Late 1940s.
California pottery companies made a lot of this style. Hopefully someone will point you in the right direction for maker.

A matched pair with no damage, in the right setting might bring a few hundred.

    Wait for others to comment.
    Welcome to the board.

I believe they are in my mothers basement. I’ll have to check the next time I’m over there.

Original shades add value. Even if the covers are damaged or discolored, they can be recovered.

As Cluttered noted several of this vintage era were out of California, but for vintage chalkware or ceramic lamps like this, I don't think the maker will be easily found, nor does it matter that much for value. I agree with 1950s. These were probably bedside lamps. Shades do add value as Debora pointed out, especially if they are unusual in any way. But definitely if you are selling, try to find the original shades.

Super festive with the yellow color and so great you have a pair in nice condition.

Post a photo of the shades if you find them!
