Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Davey mentioned that we should use Photobucket to post images, and that's the best way to insert them. This is sort of a test, since I've gotten out of the habit of using PB.

I'm not sure which link to use from PB so am trying the same one I've used on the AB in the past.

That did not work.... will have to look into this more. I used the 3rd link down in PB's list of URLs.

If anybody can help with this, please let me know...

Here is what happens with Photobucket's first link and the "mountain" icon above:

Here is the second link. It works, but also links to PB which I'd rather not do:

Here is the 3rd link, which is what I used in the AB:

    Here is the 4th link:

Second link it is! Turns out that it does not link back to PB after all.

    Hi Fig,
There might be more options rather than using PB, but I will have to investigate further, but I have always used PB on the CoinTalk forum which uses the same format as this.

I copy the top line marked "Direct" and paste it into the box next to the smiley icon.

BTW this is Scarlett my #8 of 9 grandchildren, who thought it would be fun to apply mascara for the first time. :D

    Davey, she is cute!

The "Direct" link comes up second in my list on PB. That's the one that worked when I did it. Not sure why we would have different options. The first option I have is labeled "Email & IM" and then I have all of the four that are shown in your screen shot.

I think some people have been attaching photos but in that case one has to click to open them. I'll get used to PB again, most of the time will use that.

Generally I have not posted too many items besides antique photos, and most of those are just for entertainment. I may post some other things, but really have very few items of antique interest.

    Fig,
I believe you can uncheck some of your options in PB so just the ones you need or use are displayed.
YouTube videos show as well, just paste the link direct into the body of your message.

I resized my photos and used the "Upload a File" option below.

I've never used PB -- used Imageshak back in the olden days. Bev, did the "upload a file" use pix from your own computer files?

And, how do I change my avatar?

BTW, Davey, Scarlett's a real cutie! Looks about my eldest GD's age (2.5 yrs). Someone gave me a dragon costume that's close enough to a dinosaur costume -- she's obsessed with "dinosaurns" these days and wanted to wear the costume swimming! (Sorry, I can get carried away with kiddie stories.) I don't think she'd be as careful with mascara as Scarlett!

To change your avatar, click on your user name up in the righthand corner of the page, in the dark brown line. there will be several profile options, and one is to change your avatar. You can upload it from your computer.

Thanks, Fig! Changed my avatar, and will likely change it again soon -- that's supposed to be a tiny Chinese yellow tea pot!

This is an old shot of an enameled pin I sold over a year ago. I haven't uploaded anything to PB in ages. It was a test. The Direct line definitely works.
