Might try lighter fluid at an angle to each edge so it doesn't run into the artwork.
If the hair dryer works then the residue should come off with LF and tissues wiping to the edge not towards the artwork.
Or...talk to the conservator at your local art museum before doing anything.

Thanks King, I finally figured out that the paper tape was only holding the backing cardboard to the mat, and was not attached to the litho, so i used an xacto to loosen that up, now I have the litho which seems to be attached to the backing cardboard with perhaps double sided tape? I'm not going to mess with it any more at this point, but here's what it looks like:

Hope the Picasso is going to turn out well for you, Lloyd.

    Bear, love the case!

    Evelyb, nice jewels, as always.

Millcove, great free books, love the pitcher.

Terry, I didn't know Tarnex would remove a goldwash. How long did it take for it to work it off? That stuff scares me (Tarnex, not goldwash).

So I went to an outdoor festival that usually has a ton of old stuff, but not this time. Slow weekend.... but the barn sale guy was set up, and I was looking at his stuff (much higher prices, of course), and while I am looking at some costume rings, he says "I only have one real ring, it's in a plastic bag." Not a good way to sell it, but I ask to see it. He says "It's real, and it's $30." So I loupe, it, 10K, band a bit thin in the back, but wearable. He tells me it's citrine, looks like citrine, could be glass, so I take a gamble.

I test it with the Presidium, and it almost hit the diamond area..... seems it is a yellow sapphire, synthetic or real, I do not know.

Not much happening here, even for estate sales.... there is a community yard sale next weekend in an older section of our county, we'll see.... and a I know there is an outdoor antique show going south to the next county.

Nice! Will you use the Tracker?
They are the perfect thing to tow behind a motor home so if in good shape and low mileage you could sell it to someone who has one.

i was kind hoping to pull my ball hitch camper with it , not behind it lol , i will give it some tlc and drive it for awhile , and when my daughter gets her lic. she will get it , it has 178,000 kl = to 110,604 miles, it's an automatic and 4 x 4 , i think i would have to drop the drive shaft to tow it .

They can't safely pull nor control much weight. They're light and short wheelbased.
I strongly suggest you check Chevy's specs on it.
It's essentially the same as a Chevy Trax and SuzuKi Escudo.
To tow them, at least early ones, I believe a certain fuse may have to be pulled.

But let the local kitties, or a spare ringtail, clean house first. No need to bring home hitchhikers!
