I'm thinking about buying this piece of wood which I think is Huanghuali wood. Ity is small and really heavy. I know that one way to make sure it is Huanghuali is to try to float it on water, if it is it'll sink like a rock. Only problem is that I don't think the owner would appreciate it. It is wierd, has 3 channels running from side to side like arm width. Any help identifying what it is and an opinion as to would it be a good buy at 120.00 would be greatly appreciated. wood1.jpg wood1.jpg wood1.jpg wood2.jpg wood2.jpg

I've got no idea but are you sure that it's meant to be something and isn't just a cored piece of wood?

Cored would have 2 sides wouldn't it. Reminds me of a lab chair when they draw blood. Armrest for tattooing? Pricewise, what do you think?
