This is a large ram of unusual color - green. I brought it from my last year trip to Opishne, the center of Ukrainian ceramics.
Every year they have an international ceramic festival. Last year I worked there as interpreter for the guests from the US and Spain (they spoke English). This year it will take place from June 26 - July 2. If somebody is interested I will tell you more. Maybe some of you, who is pottery admirers, would like to come and visit it. I would be glad to organize a tour. This is the event one does not want to miss. For now, I want to show the pictures of this fantastic ram. Ram 1.jpg Ram 5.jpg

    Gorgeous, Natasha!
Do you pour or sprinkle liquid from its mouth, fill from the top of the head?

I don't know the size, but if it's small it looks almost like a Year-of-the-Ram water dropper for use in Chinese calligraphy: the water flow is controlled with your finger on the airhole. You fill these up by just dunking them in a sink or bucket of water.

Natasha, that is one delightful ram! I love the way they've done his coat!

In old times it was used as container for wine. And yes, it poured wine from its mouth. Now I only have it as decorative piece.

It's not very large. The size is about 32x22 cm. Do you have the photo of Year-of-the-Ram water dropper to compare?

No, a water dropper would usually not be that size; more like the size of a small apple, instead.
