yes I understand every ones doubts and appreciate any comments and opinions and that is why i took it to Mr. Biro , it will take more time yet, but i assure you mr .Biro believes it was painted by him , he has not told me it wasn't and he would have spotted a fake right away the only question in his mind is how it went from here to there , was painted and then made it to Canada ( what are the chances of finding that out lol ) , I think I have enough evidence and am confident enough to send pictures to the Picasso family , their word is gold , I'm arranging it with nick tonight , he's drawing up a letter and i have the disk and picture to send ..... we will see bwahaha (sinister laugh )heehee)

My own Picasso find - at the Goodwill a few weeks back :) - Believe this is a 1964 Mourlot series litho - haven't gotten it off the mat yet (was behind glass but the glass was cracked so I took it out) to check out the edges/back but from what I can tell I think it's the real deal (is a litho -is the right size for the Mourlot lithos). It is backed with some type of cardstock/cardboard with paper tape - any ideas on the best way to remove that?

My neighbor borrows my books all the time so I gave him three of the duplicates that I already had. He was so happy, he made my day.

oh and Mr. Biro had a Hugh 6 ' x 3'x 4" front door that Picasso Painted ,dated, and signed ,someone was having it authenticated also , I wish I was allowed to take a pictures of it , it was amazing , my son was awed , and knows now that it is what we have (he was a disbeliever ......until that moment) . I'm hoping to see it on the news also some day , don't know when , he/she must still be waiting for an answer also .

@aaroncab, I use a hair dryer on low heat. It takes patience. Don't try to pull if it isn't lifting off easily. I've used this technique many times. I actually removed tape from a page leaf from that dated from the 1500's this way. It didn't damage the paper and the tape didn't leave any residue. It make take you a while with that much tape.

Thank you - I've wondered about heat - but definitely avoiding damage is my number one concern. I'll go gently.

    Thanks Lloyd,

There are indeed several copies of this same litho online - see:

    https://www.affordableart101.com/Pi...rlot-Press-p/picasso-artist-and-his-model.htm

    and

    https://www.amazon.fr/1964-Pablo-Picasso-peintre-Mourlot-lithographie/dp/B013TNYIC0

    and what moreotherstuff linked to:

    http://www.williamweston.co.uk/item/artist_previous/306/100

    - so I'm fairly sure it is either a genuine litho or some kind of photo reproduction of same - but I have it free of the mat now, and i'm thinking more and more it is definitely a litho.
