Any ideas to value of this cloisenné necklace and earrings set?

My grandmother is trying to figure out how much they could be worth. Tried to research it online, but without knowing who exactly made it and exactly when, it's tough.

It was originally purchased in Switzerland in the early to mid 1950's. Imprinted on the clasp of the earrings is "ITALY MADE".

The original purchaser, whom I think my grandmother said was her aunt's husband's boss's wife or something was, according to my grandmother, not cheap and would not willingly buy imitation cloisenné, and supposedly spent a lot of money on this set. While, I'm no expert, but looking at this it looks like glass and not like any other photos I've seen of 1950's cloisenné.

In any case, do you all have any ideas as to what this could be worth, if it's even legitimate?

They are not cloisenné,someone with glass bead experience may know their type.

    Agree with Hollyblue.
Since they are Italian, possibly Murano glass, but there are others who will know more about that.

    Hi, Anne zk
I Think it's not too late to choose "all full" for your images It's much easier to look them and eliminates having to open separately. :)

    Welcome!

Pretty. Do indeed appear to be Murano glass and age right. Name for that type of bead... Wedding something? Like me see... Yes. Wedding cake bead. More information here. I would suspect the gold colorway unusual but dunno.

Italian "wedding cake"and/or "latticino" Murano beads, probably 1950-something. Those are yellow, a little harder to find. Selling prices are all over the map; it depends on who's looking. If I were selling these on Ebay I'd start them at $50 and see where they went; some strings go for over $200 and some don't sell at $40. Top price generally goes to cobalt blue, but the yellows do nicely too.

What are the rarest, most coveted colors of the Venetian wedding cake beads?

I'm guessing red is the hardest to find. The cobalt blue ones move quickly, and they come in white, green, yellow, light blue, peacock, red and black as well. No clue to which is actually the rarest, but I've never seen the red ones in person.

Thanks. I picked up a hunter green disk-shaped set, not wedding cake, but Venetian glass beads, a shame one bead has a chip on it, for $4 at an estate sale..... I have never seen that color anywhere, either.....

    Thanks, I will be looking.

I haven't seen many that dark, if any. Pretty cool.
