What type of lantern is this?

    Looks like a coach/buggy lantern that's been wired for electricity, missing it's original burner. Doubt it had anything to do with the railroad.

    I don't think it railway I think it's an antique Normandy Lantern that someone wired a light into.

    The Etsy one is repro, the second one is a traditional Chinese/Korean lantern.

    Hi,
    I agree that the first one is a repro. Here are some photos of mine which came off a 300 year old house in Staten Island. It is heavy and the glass is very thick and bubbled. It only held a candle.
