Set yourself some searches on eBay. It may not happen overnight, but I will bet at some point someone will list a damaged pot with a good lid or just the lid itself. If you have searches set with different word combinations then all you have to do is take quick looks whenever you get a notice that something has been listed.

I would also have searches with different words like you used before you knew it was a mermaid. You have to think like someone who knows nothing about the pitcher but picked it up at a garage sale because they thought it would sell. How would they describe it?

When I made the searches I have for my perfume bottles I included words that I would never use to describe my bottles but some sellers have & over the years I have gotten some real good deals.
