I think it's a punch bowl base in the Colonial or Colonial Panel pattern but I don't trust myself with EAPG ID's without getting a confirmation. The base has the Heisey mark.
    6 1/2" tall, 7 1/4'' wide top and 5 1/2" base. Thank you.

Was looking around at Heisey punch bowls and it sure looks like yours is a base but your TOP is actually the bottom.

I wonder which way would actually be more secure with all that liquid on top?

I saw that photograph but I thought it was a marriage because of the saw tooth top.

    Hi,
The bottom side is larger. The punch bowl fits down into the small part. They are very sturdy. I see so many punch bottoms turned upside down being used for vases. I have three or four bottoms looking for punch bowls. My 18" Fostoria American punch bowl was looking for a basic for a long time. At a house sale there sitting in the middle of the dining room table was my base. The lady of the house had it upside down and was using it for a fruit bowl. When I offered her 25 dollars for her "Fruit Bowl" she dumped the fruit in the kitchen and quickly gave me the bowl. She was thrilled but not have as thrilled as I was.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
