IMG_2715 copy.jpg I bought an 18 gallon tote full of comic books for 25$ haven't had time to look through them but the 1st one I pulled out and looked up :) Batman Adventures #12 even with the moisture warp/ condition at the bottom probably will bring $300 +

to get the big bucks you have to have them graded by either cgc , or pcg

find say hulk 181 is the first appearance of wolverine , worth big bucks, and look for number 1 first editions , they are worth the most , and bag and board them .

aaron, thanks for the info this was my first comic book purchase... I have no idea where to start, this one has sold on ebay for $800+ w/9.7 grade and then down from there. lloyd, I will definitely check out your thread! I need to find out about what having them graded entails and have the best ones graded for sure!

that's the only reason i don't get mine graded ,from what i can gather you have to buy their membership first , and then pay a rate depending n the comics value and how many at a time you want to do ,www.cgccomics.com

grading them seems a little risky... what venue do you use to sell? if ebay I might just provide very good photos and let the bidders hash it out??

go and watch some YouTube vids on comic grading , some say they are crooked , but the comic and case always goes out of view of the camera for just one second , it's enough to switch it IMO , and also i have a lot of mint ,never read (bagged and boarded ,right after i bought them) , if i send them a valuable comic ,who's to say they couldn't switch it and send me a lower grade , there is no way to prove it now that it is sealed up forever .

Those shaped bottles - the Etrusca ones - are basically Empoli made. Town that's home to masses of glass factories, producing both industrial and art stuff. All those huge 1960s brandy glasses, for example.
