I purchased this painting at a thrift shop today and i wanted to see if anybody recognized the style or signature. I'm not sure which era it's from but possibly mid century?
It's about 14" X 8" in size and is an original and from what I can tell watercolor.

It looks to me like the signature says 'GLB'
I removed the back of the frame and there was no markings or information on the backside of the painting.

Either way - I really love the painting and it could very well be from an virtually unknown artist but I would love to see if there's any more work by this person.

    Thanks in advance!

Can see the appeal but looks like it might be an amateur work. Somewhere in South America, I would think. Ecuador, for instance. Looks contemporary.

Call it naive. Looks like a souvenir picture to me. The thing is that if someone is painting and selling souvenir pictures, can you call them amateur? Even if they are untrained?

You're right. Naive, untrained. And I think you're right also re souvenir. That would explain three initials. Framing a bit OTT for work on offer.
