I give up on this one. I would appreciate the wisdom of those with more knowledge and/or analytical insight than myself. Numbered 44 from an edition of 250.

Can't really help much but I like this one quite a bit. Reminds me a bit of the work of George Jo Mess but obviously not his. The pollarded trees make me think this is European rather than American.

How about Jasper or Josper, or Jos (for Joseph) Par?

I think you may be on to something with your joseph theory. The jp mark in the lower left of the etching would seem to support that theory.

Brad, you are good as I spotted a small tag on the back indicating German I suspect. Interesting because it reminded me of a Gustave Baumann woodblock that I own.

Eigen schoon is dutch meaning "own clean" which sure does not help me here. I cannot make out the other word(s)

Unfortunately, I have struggled to find a record of any sales (at least written in english). Any sense of value? I am assuming not much.

I am not finding anything either. Would think somewhere in the $50.00 range. Maybe more to the right person in a retail setting.

Yeah, I think that the fact that we are not finding anything through the usual sources is reflective of a small market and consequently, little value.....although, like yourself, I like it.
