As cologne goes, I rarely wear it anymore. However, the 2 I like best are Furyo by J Bogart, and REALM that one that was made with Pheromones, I swear it really worked. I'd come back from the route all sweaty and everybody asked me why I smelled so good. We now have a couple people at work that are very sensitive or allergic to some scents, so they have kind of discouraged use of cologne or perfume. I wear it for a night out or special events. FURYO is not made anymore and a few years back I bought, what is now a lifetime supply on ebay. As for what I used as a teenager, Canoe, Stetson and a scent by AVON called Light Musk! The Avon one was wonderful on me.

I started out with Canoe and then I had a friends mother who used to make her own scents. She made one for me and I loved the aroma. When she died her recipe died with her. However there was a perfume company in lower Manhattan that used to "copy" all the perfumes and colognes for 8 bucks a bottle. My Mom loved JOY and I used to get her JOY from them. I just asked Mom to send me her empty JOY bottle and I would get it refilled. Now I use "Habit Rouge" and "Vent Vert" but they are getting so expensive I use vanilla extract. Smells wonderful, everyone comments on it.

Rive Gauche was my favorite back in the 70's. It was like catnip for guys. Would wear it and end up in fascinating conversations all the time.

 

Took a little longer than the silver basket, but I finally managed to sell this piece, too!!
