    Greetings All,
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and to those celebrating Memorial Day, have a great one!

I have a wood Asian art piece that's worked on both sides and I like it in a folk "art-ish" kind of way but if any of you can tell me anything about it, I'd be very appreciative. I know nothing. It came out of the house of a folk art collector whose collection if I remember correctly was all over the place with pieces ranging from the 1800's to maybe the 70s/80s with no particular direction to country or timeframe. My gut feeling is that this was one of the newer pieces. It's approx. 16.5" x 9.5" Any thoughts? Happy to post more pictures of the writing if asked.

Very nice, Reader - I can't be of much help, but someone else will be coming along, I'm sure :)

Large sections of text on Chinese pottery often turn out to be some kind of poem. I wonder if getting someone to translate all that text would help "explain" the faces.

Thanks! I have so much stuff that I know nothing about LOL but I figure as long as I like it, it's good enough.
