I've had these glass beads laying around for about 3 years now and have yet to find anything close to them for identification purposes. Each bead has four sections that are held together when strung double to secure each side. Then the two strings are cinched up with a smaller green bead and it continues on. Looks a bit complicated. Anyone have any info? Thanks! IMG_2781.JPG IMG_2780.JPG IMG_2781.JPG IMG_2780.JPG

They are really interesting. Haven’t seen anything like them. Assembled separately. Nice! :)

Maybe someone has seen this before.

    Hi Penelope. Welcome! :)

I have been collecting/buying interesting vintage glass bead necklaces for several decades, and I don't recall seeing anything like this. Possible why not many folks have chimed in is that there isn't an easy answer to this one. A bit of a stumper, but it is really cool! Seems to have some age to it. Maybe was an idea some manufacturer made and turned out to be too labor intensive with all the moving parts, so the reason we are not finding others is that it didn't take off??

Makes me think of German jewelry for some reason.

It is a very interesting piece, esp that all the components are glass. Neat find!

Great photos by the way. :)

I think you're right, definitely labor intensive. :) I'll keep looking though, I wish I could recall the woman I bought it from, that would have been a BIG help.
