My husband's job is the outside. He waters the plants. :)

Photographed the other day (taking a break from cleaning.)

Plate of mostly sterling and gold-filled earrings, some pins.

MMA watch, reminds me of water lily leaves, what do you see?

These were bought with the sterling and GF lot, the red stones test as garnet, the blue in the quartz range- niobium, most likely older Holly Yashi.

And the mistake of the day, sterling smokey quartz and carved citrine, $6.

    Hi
Sorry might have posted in wrong place.
Has anyone picked up bad vibes from second hand/antique items or noticed weird events surrounding them. Not assuming this has ever happened but interested. Cheers

Harriet, this would be a good thread for the General Discussion forum under antiques. I bet we would see some very interesting answers!

I think I have a shade that will fit it but I'm going to sell it without one.

I bought a lamp at a thrift once for $4 just to get the vintage shade. It's hard to find them around here.

This was from the Starvation Army yesterday. I rarely stop there, the lady working in the back takes all the silver for herself, how she missed this one, I don’t know.

She was probably off that day.

Greg needs a husband! Heck, I could use one of those husband-things too!

Either a) she was off like Marko said or b) figured since it was marked Tiffany it had to be a fake, or c) just saw "yet another shell dish" and figured it was the usual plated junk. Whoops! Tiffany sterling for $3 ... woot!

    I found a woodcarving of a Nachtwächter (Night's Watchman)

Girl who sold it said that it belonged to her dead grandfather. It's not marked but it's probably from Austria (Tyrol).

Also a porcelain group of Hutschenreuther's (Karl Tutter's Eifersucht) with pre-WW2 mark, I call this one a find because someone put it into a local classified ad for VERY CHEAP as signed and marked figurines go but I went over it twice at least, there's no nick nor dent ✨(nude)

This is a fairly recent costume brooch. Can you guess why I rather like it? ;)

Why oh why do they write the price with permanent marker directly on the piece???????

A little bit of 9ct from charity shops. Just lost one of the wingnuts though, it’s bounced on the kitchen tiled floor. This worse than trying to find a contact lens. Cost was £5 for all.

Found the gold wingnut, a long way away from where I expected it to be, I’m happy:)
